About

Hiya, I'm Jamie, the person behind Aperture Glens.

I got my first proper camera in February. A friend of mine was running menopause talks at the time and offered to back me, kit and all, if I came along and shot her events. That was the push I needed. I haven't really stopped since.

Everything from there has been self-taught. Turning up to shoots, going out on my own with the camera to photograph landscapes and wildlife, taking far too many photos of other people's dogs, and just working out what actually works through doing it over and over. That's grown into sport (I shot a charity football match for CLIC Sargent), portraits, and product photography. One of the shoots I'm proudest of was for a Scottish alcohol brand, off the back of a short brief and a handful of inspiration shots.

I've got a background in marketing and branding, so if you come to me with a clear brief, I'll deliver on it. If you'd rather just point me in a general direction and let me get on with it, I'm just as happy working that way. Every client's different, so I don't force one approach on everyone. I also work flexibly outside the usual 9 to 5, so evenings and weekends are no bother.

Honestly, the best way to get a feel for what I do is my Instagram, that's where most of the work ends up, along with the odd caption I probably shouldn't be proud of. If you like what you see there, message me on Instagram, WhatsApp, or email, all linked in my bio. I'd love an actual conversation about what you need than have you fill out a form, so get in touch and let's talk it through.

My Vision

Keep it simple: affordable, quality photography, delivered promptly.

No messing about, no waiting weeks for your photos, no paying over the odds for them either.

Whether it's your memories, your brand, or your business, I want to give you something you'll actually look back on and value. And selfishly, I want work I can look at and be proud of too.
